CP is seeking an experienced Technical Proposal Writer to add to our growing Proposal Operations team. We are looking for a collaborator with a diverse proposal writing skillset, including related experience in the development and content creation of compelling technical proposals, executive summaries, management approaches and past performance descriptions. This role will work closely with the Director of Proposal Operations, Proposal Managers, Solution Architects, Project/ Program Management experts, Technical SMEs, Capture Managers, and Business Development team in the planning and construction of compliant and winning proposal content.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify compliance with proposal and technical requirements, gather necessary content from repository and/or subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Develop proposal content around CP's unique solutions, outcomes, and benefits, based on annotated outlines and win strategy.
• Write compelling text by articulating value propositions, key win themes, market positioning, and overall strategy within proposals.
• Deliver submission-quality content by focusing on timely execution, clear communication, and problem resolution/prevention.
• Meet milestone dates and final deadlines, including the timing requirements for the RFP escalation process.
• Support the Proposal Manager throughout the proposal process, meeting proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering; writing; review and approval; coordinating requirements with contributors, and contributing proposal status information during review meetings.
• Manage content to support overall BD & Proposal Operations team.
• Write, revise, and edit drafts of Federal Government proposal responses (including executive summaries; technical and management approaches; past performance; and personnel qualifications/resumes).
• Edit documents and technical literature prepared by other staff members for content, coverage, clarity, and voice consistency, recommending revisions and editorial standards as appropriate.
• Support the creation of white papers, Requests for Information (RFIs) responses, and similar documentation.
• Creation and management of writing assignments for internal stakeholders and external partners in a Volume Lead/Book Boss capacity will also be required. However, these responsibilities are expected to be occasional.
• Provide writing and editing support for marketing and corporate communications as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Certifications and Training in Shipley and/or APMP, CF
• 5-7 years of proposal writing experience required; Federal proposal writing a plus.
• Must be U.S. Citizen.

• Communication and Analytical Skills: Excellent writing, organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Technology Proficiency: Experience with proposal desktop publishing.
• Other technical skills required include Word, Excel, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, Power Point.
• Experience with APMP and/or Shipley preferred; certifications in either methodology are a strong plus.
• Technical proposal writing experience (specifically creating responses to technical requirements).
• Secret Clearance preferred, but not required.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience writing on Health IT, Oracle technologies and/or Agile software development proposals.
